How It All Began
Byte Wipes was born as the COVID-19 pandemic hit the U.S. in March 2020. As everyone scrambled to constantly sanitize their hands and obtain masks, co-founder David Wells realized people were missing cleaning something very important... their phones! After tracking all the dirty places our phones go, we recognized there was a serious need to make portable, easy-to-use, antibacterial phone cleaning wipes.

David, a manufacturing and research & development guru, was soon joined by his daughter, Kayla, who was eager to develop our brand.
We have loved the process of creating Byte Wipes and seeing it all come together. We hope you enjoy and share a Byte with someone you love!​

GIVING BACK
Community Values
For every six Byte Wipes packs sold, we donate one pack to first responders. During trying times like COVID-19, it is important to support our own health, and essential to contributing to those who are putting themselves at risk to keep our communities safe.

Byte Wipes is dedicated to keeping your phone clean and your immune system healthy, and it is also important for us to give back to the community.
In addition, we often partner with non-profit organizations to give back to causes we want to positively impact. Over the past year, we have donated a portion of our profits to The African American Covid-19 Relief Fund, the NAACP Legal Fund, TechGirlz and the SLO Women’s Shelter.

From ideation and sourcing to production and shipment, Byte Wipes has been a fun and engaging entrepreneurial family adventure, with key additional team members who add their amazing talents to generate creative content, social media, and marketing.
KAYLA WELLS
CEO & Co-Founder
Kayla is a 2020 graduate of Cal Poly SLO with a degree in Business Finance, and holds a full-time position as a financial analyst at Cisco. In addition to her love of geeking-out with numbers, she has a passion for creativity, innovation, and bringing ideas to life
JORJA MURPHY
Social Media & Marketing Manager
Jorja is a journalism and marketing student at Cal Poly SLO with a passion for creativity and writing. She is always looking for ways to build upon her skillset and is excited to take on new tasks head on.
DAVID WELLS
Co-Founder
David is a lifelong entrepreneur and a creative idea machine. He has a keen eye for market opportunities, as well as many years of experience understanding the details required to bring innovative products to market.
CHRIS TACK
Head of Content Generation & Photography
Chris is a Media Arts student at Chico State University with a passion for creative imagery. He is always looking for new creative challenges to take on and unique stories to tell with his camera.
SALLY WELLS
Chief Operating Officer
Sally brings her years of experience in the food industry with production and operations to keep all of the moving parts at Byte Wipes going smoothly. She has a real talent for organization and maintaining strong interpersonal relationships.
RYAN WELLS
Production Engineer
Ryan is a mechanical engineer student at University of Colorado Boulder where he gets to apply his love for hands-on work and strategic thinking. He is a critical thinker and precise in his actions, making him an asset of Team Byte.
